What happens on the day itself?
The count reaches zero at midnight, or at the time you entered. For the rest of that day the page shows how long ago it passed. From the next day it counts to next year's birthday.
Can I share the countdown?
Yes — the address bar always holds the current state, so copying the link and sending it gives the other person the same countdown.
What if I was born on 29 February?
In a year with no 29 February, the countdown runs to 1 March instead. In a leap year it runs to 29 February itself. Either way, you never wait more than a year.
Which time zone does the countdown use?
The one you pick on the page. With no time entered, it counts to midnight at the start of your birthday in that zone. Enter a time, such as the hour you were born, and it counts to that moment instead.
